Teams - groups of two or more people who interact and influence each other, accountable for achieving common goals associated with organizational objectives and perceive themselves as a social entity: all teas exits to fulfill some purpose. E: repairing electric power lines, assembling a product: held together by their interdependence ad need for collaboration to achieve common goals. Influence each other: exists when members perceive themselves to be a team. Informal groups people that assemble together little to no interdependence and organization. Ex: people you meet for lunch; each person can easily sit alone. Ex: protestors, protest i groups because as a group they hold more power than individually: we are comforted by the mere presence of others ad therefore motivated to be near them in stressful situations. Ex: when in danger people congregate near each other even though doing so serves no protective purpose.
