Hardware and software are technical foundation and tools, similar to the material and tools used to build a house. Input: captures or collects raw data within an organization or from its external environment. Processing: converts raw data (or one form of information) into more meaningful information. Output: transfers the processed information to the the people who will use it or for the activities in which it will be used. Feedback: output that is returned to appropriate members of the organizations to help evaluate or correct the input or processing stage. Information systems/technology an important tool in achieving greater ef ciency and productivity. Walmart"s retail link system links suppliers to stores for superior replenishment system. Business model: describes how company produces, delivers, and sells product service to create wealth.
