Advantages of questionnaire over the structured interview: cheaper, quicker, more convenient to administer. The only thing is the answers may not come back immediately: absence of interviewer effects. No interviewer effects like errors in administering the instrument. Disadvantages: cannot explain question, greater risk of missing data. Pull-down menus the questionnaire can be designed so that when there is a filter question, it skips automatically to the next appropriate q can be designed to show 1 q at a time.
