Nature and nurture as allies: personality is made up from environment and genetics, genes and environment work together, separately or they may influence each other, genotype environment interaction. Certain environments have different effects on people depending on their specific genetic makeup. People change environments, environments change people: genotype environment correlation. The amount of observed individual differences in some characteristics that can be accounted for genetic differences. Inheritance of a particular trait in a particular population at a particular time. Genetic variations among different ethnic groups: environmentality. Estimates the extent to which observed individual differences can be traced in any way to individual differences in enviroments. Ex child nutrition affects height: shared and nonshared environments. Includes aspects of the family enviroment that are generally the same for all children in the house hold. Includes experiences that relatives have which make them different from one another. Compared twins of the same environment and compared them: estimating heritability to other kids.
