For men marriage is a choice but for women is a necessity only one set of skills because they can"t be self sufficient. Free choice, equality, respect should be in marriage as they are in friendship . Better marriages = better people the family as fundamentally political. Incorporation of the private sphere with emphasis on central values. Marriages as mutual creation of value women having lives outside of marriage. More of a rational arrangement, more stable. Good family structures produce children that grow up to be good citizens .
