Even before the shift in 1941 and 42 from persecution of jews to mass murder, the nazi"s adopted more organized maltreatment and murder of other political and biological enemies. At the same time, germany approved of murderous policies by their allies in southeast europe, Romania, and croatia --> a. k. a mass murder was already a desirable policy. Nazi germany persecuted and often killed social outsiders --> asocials, includes roma, alcoholics, prostitutes --> black triangles in camps --> jehovah"s wore purple and gays pink. Not all social outsiders are marked for death though - state allowed for the possibility that gays and. Jehovah"s would reform but others like roma and habitual criminals were destined for death. Homosexuality supposedly reflected republican decadence and slowed racial propagation and subverted manliness needed for conquest yet it is at least partly "correctable" - never tried to exterminate entirely.
