Subhuti, mahakatyayana, and mahamaudgalyayana danced for joy upon hearing the anuttarasamakabodhi prophecy for sariputra: they are the head of samgha, rose from seat, adjusted garments, bared right shoulder, knelt on right knee, joined hands. Whole time (during buddha"s preaching) sat with tired bodies think about emptiness, signlessness, deedlessness. Hearts too no pleasure in bodhisavtta dharmas, etc. Because buddha caused them to leave three spheres; bear direct witness to nirvana. Glad voice-hearers able to hear this dharma; didn"t think they would ever. Want to clarify what they mean using a parable. P 79: young man, left father, dwelt in a foreign country for decades. Grew old, lived in destitution, scavenging for food and clothes in all 4 directions; wanderer. Accidently started to headed towards his homeland. Father was looking for his son; stopped in a city. Young man wandered, ended up in same city as the father.
