Document Summary
Cramming adrenaline- fueled attempt to fit all of our studying into a short time period: while it may lead to fast learning in the short term, it does not help us with long term studying, inefficient. True goal of students = efficient long term learning (studying in such a way so that the information sticks with us in the long term, using the least amount of study time) Module = based on research and cognitive psychology. Long term learning is the most critical. Being mindful of distractions interrupting study time. Re-reading / highlighting/ copying notes = poor study methods. Why challenging studying challenges that initially slow down learning, help in the long term. Every day we are bombarded with distractions (digital, or otherwise) Our brains are not wired to do two things at once. Instead, we quickly switch between multiple tasks, assuming we are being proficient, but it is always more likely we are doing the exact opposite.
