Jeffrey sachs talks about extreme poverty: people forced to live on less than a dollar a day. Sachs argues that as the world converges and grows righter, its newfound wealth threatens to be fatally undermined by the vastness of poverty it leaves behind. Hopes to achieve the end of poverty by the year 2025. Believes the task of diminishing poverty is the most urgent challenge of our generation: believes that if first world countries fail to take up this challenge, the world will be doomed, crowded and imperil. John f. kennedy: hoped to pledge the best of his efforts to help those in poverty, if a free society cannot help the many who are poor, it cannot save the few who are rich .
