Weather refers to current state of atmosphere with focus on weather condition that affect people living in a place for short period of time. Climate determines to a large extent the soil order and native vegetation in a given region and hence influence land use such as crop cultivation, forestry, or grazing. Continental air masses; air masses origination over large land masses. Canada has 7 climatic zones; the pacific, cordillera, prairies, great lakes, atlantic, subarctic and arctic. Largest is subarctic zone which extends over much of interior of canada and reaches areas like quebec, atlantic canada , ontario and western canada. Air masses; large sections of atmosphere with similar temperature and humidity characteristics.
