Ethical managers build an environment that encourages others to behave themselves. Ethical managers realize that what they do in their personal lives carries over to the professional arena. Ethical managers demonstrate the importance of serving people and society. Moral leadership: is about distinguishing right from wrong and doing right, seeking the just, the honest, the good, and the right conduct in achieving goals and fulfilling purpose. Preconventional level: at the first level, individuals are ego-centered and concerned with receiving external rewards and avoiding punishments. This level includes the stages of obedience & punishment and instrumental orientation (individualism).
