A labour union is an employee organization whose main goal is representing its members in employee- management negotiations of job-related issues. Private sector labour unions those who work as employees of a private firm or business. Example: labour unions were largely responsible for the establishment of minimum wage laws, overtime rules, workers" compensation, severance pay, child labour laws, job safety regulations and more.
