People right up in each other"s face. Conflict can be hidden (absence from the group might represent the conflict) Ted thinks it"s unprofessional, doesn"t talk to glenda talks to someone else. Process conflict bc the issue is how the work should we be done. Then leads to the people and relationship conflict. Intergroup conflict - between groups: sports teams versing one another. Intra-group conflict - within groups (threats, blackmail: helps with group cohesion (groups works out their problems) Modes (strategies) of managing conflict - for assignment and exam. Avoiding low assertiveness of one"s own interests and low cooperation with the other party. Accommodating cooperates with the other party while not asserting one"s own interest.
