The unicode consortium is a group of corporations, government organizations, research institutions and various other tech-savvy associations and individuals that defines universal standards for computer languages. Digital divide: gap between those people with relatively little access and use of information and communication technologies and those people with greater access and usage. Access divide: gap between people with access to digital technology and those without access. Usage divide (or second digital divide): gap between people who use information and communication technologies for education, self betterment, civic engagement etc. and those who use the technologies for less constructive reasons. Culture: a shared system of beliefs, values, customs and so on that guides behaviour of a particular group or public. Intercultural public relations: management of relationships between organizations and publics of different cultures. Low-context communication: exchanges in which most of the meaning of messages is stated explicitly in the messages and requires little understanding of context.
