ANTHROP 2PA3 Chapter Notes -Sherd, Debitage, Projectile Point
Document Summary
Anthropology 2pa3: lab assignment 3: types and distinguishing attributes. One flat, rough side, one rounded, smooth side. Smooth on one side, rounded on other side. Flat on one side, rounded and rough on other side. Wide based pointed tip (charred corn present in assemblage): frequency and percentage. Flat on one side, rounded on the other. Lined design along the top of one side. Pointy on the top, flat on the bottom. The main difference between assemblage a and assemblage b is that assemblage a has both a larger number of artifacts, as well as a greater variety of artifacts. An explanation for this difference could be that assemblage a is larger in size than assemblage b. Assemblage a, so this different in artifact frequency and variety could be evidence for site expansion and population growth of this site. More evidence of population growth in assemblage a is the larger amount of pottery sherds found than in assemblage b.
