Undermines social responsiveness, ability to communicate, and feelings for other people. Description and history of asd idea is that they are not social. Child is unsocial, unloving even to parents. Individuals who have marked deficits in social communication, but whose symptoms do not otherwise meet criteria for asd, should be evaluated for social (pragmatic) communication disorder.
