Little personal projects and free traits: personality and motivation. Qol is contingent upon sustainable pursuit of core personal projects. Project pursuit may require suspension of biogenic fixed traits and the adoption of free traits. Free traits = culturally scripted patterns of conduct that are strategically crafted to advance projects that the person cars about. Biogenic introverts may act as extraverts in order to advance projects requiring expression of enthusiastic assertiveness enhances well-being (promoting successful pursuit) but could also compromise well-being (challenges to ans). The costs of free-traited behavior can be mitigated by the provision and use of restorative resources. This perspective tries to xeplain the inconsistencies in daily life. Ecological model of human development= model that attempts to resolve the person-situation debate by focusing on transactional units of analysis in which ppl and situations were organically linked. Using the 2 conceptual units central to the model: personal projects and free traits.
