Miss guerin asked his master to have him baptized but he refused but she insisted on it and he accepted so he was baptized in st. margaret"s church in february 1759. He was ordered to go on board the ship with his master and was forced to stop his lessons. At first sight he thought it was her but she was actually of another race.
