Acadians who returned are on avg poorer--lands taken when away. Resentment less prominent w anglos, but does come up. Some writers place more emphasis on catholicism. Will neglect guerilla tactics of french soldiers. Anglo accounts usually r biased by omission. Silent rev focused more on poli/econ freedom of qc. Anglo hists look for canadian figure to identify w. Idealize french-can soldiers--not americans, not indg ppl, not french soldiers. Other works minimize canadian role, paint conflict as european. On opposite side, some works look mainly at socioeconomic context of factors re: war. Record keeping stopped during war--thus historians may underestimate its impact. Analysis of this revealed stereotypes of past hist works. Who participated in fighting/for what reason/what role they took on was frequently stereotyped.
