Many teachers spend their summers writing and designing curricula that focus on standards and are intended to engage learners. But when they meet their students in the classrooms, the program doesn"t fit their needs, interests, preferences, readiness levels or appeal to them. Teachers must look at the realities of their classrooms and recognize that each learner is different and unique in their own way. This is because students have designer brains : their brains differ as much as their fingerprints and faces do. This is why different learning styles were introduced by other research experts. Learning profile: a compilation of data to identify and share the ways in which each student learns; includes but not to limited to how the student perceives the world, accesses information, processes information, learns, thinks and remembers. Cognitive psychologists seem to perpetuate the notion that learners have different styles that dominate their learning.
