The scientific study of people and their behaviour’s in sport and exercise context and
the practical application of that knowledge

Seek to understand and elite athletes, children, persons who are physically or

Clinical sport psychology: Detect and treat individuals with emotional disorders.
Received additional training in sport and exercise psychology and the sport scenes.

psychological skills and their development. Extensive training in sport/exercise
science, physical education and kinesiology. Understand psychology of human

1897: Norman Triplett conducts the first social psych and sport psych experiment

Theory: set of interrelated facts presenting a systematic view of some phenomenon to
describe, explain, and predict it future occurrences
