Herbert marcuse, some social implications of modern technology, in the essential frankfurt. Both readings provide an interesting look on how technology affects our lives. In todays day of age technology has really taken over, as most of the time we spend interacting with some kind of technological product. Furthermore, all the three authors claim that individuality is being lost due to the increased inclusion of technology in most of the sectors. This is primarily because of the fact that it is creating certain kind of standards, which have to be adhered to, and can be done through only with the use of technology. The individual thinks that they are controlling the machine, however, it is the machine that is setting the standard and controlling the individual in following a standard.
