Describe the dispositional, situational and interactionist approaches to organizational behaviour and trait activation theory: dispositional approach individuals possess stable traits or characteristics that influence their attitudes and behaviours. Interactionist approach individuals" attitudes and behavior are a function of both dispositions and the situation. In other words to predict and understand organizational behavior, one must know something about an individual"s personality and the setting in which he works. This approach is now most widely accepted perspective within organizational behavior. Example: weak vs. strong situations personality can best show itself in weak situations since there are no predetermined roles.
