Now a day each and every organization needs ICT- professionals to change or improve
their way of doing business. They hire the ICT-professionals to create website for their
company or to advertise about their company. So, it is the responsibility of the developer
to design and create the system which helps the customers to finish the particular work
more efficiently and faster than doing it manually. In short, the system or product should
support the user rather than to challenge them. The process of designing the application
or the system according to the skill and perspective of the user is known as user
centered approach. For instance: if a developer need to design a online shopping
website for a company and he completely changes the former format of all other online
shopping sites then it will be really difficult for the customers to find what they are
searching because they will have to learn completely new way of online shopping and
adapt themselves. So, people will search for other choices of online shopping rather than
using the new website. User centered design simply means to design a software’s user
interface that is easily understood by the user.
Usability
Usability means the ease with which the users interact with the interface of the
application. A user- friendly design is easy to learn and understand the pattern of the
application matches with other products; the users don’t have to learn and adapt
themselves in order to use the application. Usability helps to increase the sales and
popularity of the product as well.
User experienced design
Each and every software or product is focused on the user who is going to use it; it may
either be used by the group of employees working in office or the customers who have to
pay their bills or shopping etc. Basically, the user may be technical or non-technical so
software should be made accordingly. Usability test is done in order to design the product
on the basis of the observation during the test.
How to improve the usability of the product
Usability can be improved by recognizing the user who are going to use the product and
developing it according to the skills of the users. For example: if the software is focused
