Something that the mind is going through all the time: continually giving birth to new lives & new deaths, shows that every being contains buddha nature within us but we can"t perceive it yet. The enlightenment of the buddha was not only his liberation of dukkha, but also his insight into the nature of the universe: he who is enlightened is awakened to the truth of dependent origination. The understanding that any phenomenon exists only because of the existence of other phenomena in an incredibly complex web of cause and effect covering time past, time present, and time future. Cause action result: explains karma. Every action has a result and is caused by something else. Because all things are conditioned and temporary , they have no real independent identity and thus do not truly exist.
