When measured statistically, socioeconomic status has a large effect on a wide variety of social outcomes for example, we can determine where people will or wont live depending on their socioeconomic status: we can predict how they decorate their homes, how they tithe (people of lower ses give more money to their church), we can predict what kind of sports what kind of sports you watch, what kind of diseases you might contract, people in the middle or upper classes tend to have a sense of control over their lives, while people of lower ses tend to have a much more fatalistic worldview they feel like somebody else is in charge, the middle and upper classes tend to be willing to delay gratification (investing and saving), while people in lower groups talk about buying stuff immediately (they don"t know if money will be taken away)
