Over the past 20 years the acidity of rain has decreased because of decreased emissions of primary pollutants nitric oxide and sulfuric oxide because emission laws went into place. Nitric acid falls into ocean nothing happens except it fertilizes oceans. If nitric acid falls onto land it helps fertilize. Co2 acidifies oceans and helps fertilize lands by being an acid and a nutrient.
