The forebrain has 2 hemispheres: left and right: each hemisphere is responsible for sensation and motor control on the opposite side of the body. The outer covering of the forebrain is the cerebral cortex: gray matter. Wernicke"s aphasia: trouble remembering the names of objects and understanding speech. Amygdala: structure in the temporal lobe; slow to process emotional information: frontal: located at the forward pole of the brain. Primary motor cortex: structure important for the planned control of fine movements. Prefrontal cortex: organization and planning of movements.
