The course will consist of four major sections. The first will provide you with general knowledge of philosophical, theoretical, and ideological traditions influencing political thought and study. This portion of the course will ensure that everyone in the class shares a basic understanding of the important questions that are faced in the study of politics. The second portion of the class will deal with the foundations of the study of different political systems by looking at different types of political behavior, political socialization, and institutions.
