He is eventually found dead in a river in 1916. Now the public questions the ethics of the govt. Nicholas gives up throne and new govt comes about. Soviets elected counsels and represented interests of the people: leon trotsky- commissar if war. Made sure the red army was a good fighting force. They both have different opinions about how russia will industrialize. Trotsky believes that industrialization should happen on the backs of peasants. He wants them all put together and to have government efficient farms.
