Abnormal psychology: field devoted to scientific study of problems we find so interesting. Clinical scientists gather information systematically so they may describe, predict and explain the phenomena they study. Psychological abnormality is very hard to define, no definition of abnormality has total acceptance. Define the four d"s, any problems with the four d"s, and exceptions. Many clinical theorists, behavior, ideas and emotions usually have to cause distress before the behaviors can be considered/ labeled abnormal. Lack of distress however does not always mean that the behavior is not abnormal.
