It is completely against the essential meaning of happiness to assume that the more objects or items that crowd a person"s life, the happier this individual will be. So it is not inherent in our nature that we cannot be happy without acquiring more and more, what is inherent is our ability to tend to our nature and basic needs. If a person lacks the means to fulfill their basic natural need (water, food, clothing, shelter, etc. ) he or she will not be as happy as potentially possible. But once said individual owns enough capital to not need to worry about these things on a daily basis, the money he makes after that is completely unrelated to their happiness.
