Asked the presiding officer of the senate to propose that it only takes 51 votes to end debate for presidential nominees. Then he proposes it, and his proposals can be approved with only 51 votes. Republicans warned democrats that they would regret this move. This applies to all presidential nominees and federal judges (not supreme court)
