Hi I am not too sure how to approach this problem...
Above is a picture of a massless rod, length 2H with two pointmasses, each D distance from the Center of Mass.
a) Calculate dv/dt of the center of mass for this setup at theinitial instant the force is applied.
b) Calculate dw/dt (change in angular velocity with respect totime) for this setup at the same instant.
c)What is the linear acceleration of a point fixed to the bottomof the rod (point A)
d)What is the value of D needed so that the point at the bottomof the rod has zero acceleration initially.
e)If D is much larger than H what would happen?
