Document Summary

In such a competitive environment, it makes sense that students crack under pressure, and with such a heavy workload, it is understandable that students cannot take studying anymore. In robert kolker"s article, cheating upwards, he expresses the prevalent role cheating plays across the school spectrum in this day in age. From high school students to college students, kolker shows why students deem it necessary to cheat on both minor tests and future determining tests and the measures they take to get a perfect score. Presently, intense pressure is on students to do well in school; they are expected to be the best and go to top universities to eventually get incredible jobs. However, i stand with the side that cheating is never the right option, even if the pressure is to an extreme. Not only is it morally wrong, it is unfair and should not be an excuse for a student"s laziness or lack of knowledge of a subject.
