Timing and tone is everything when it comes to making arguments. I decided i wanted to go home for fall break. Prior to school starting, my mom and i discussed that it would be kind of pointless for me to fly all the way back to new york when parent"s weekend would literally be three days after. However, i decided i needed a break, and all of my friends decided they were going to go home. First, i looked up every airline that flies out of detroit to new york, and i researched every airline. Finally, i called my mom that night and i told her i wanted to come home for fall break. Her tone was kind of angry, and i realized that i was calling her at the wrong time.
