Document Summary

C= v is the relationship between the wavelength of electromagnetic waves, the speed of light, and the frequency of the electromagnetic wave. It shows that as wavelength increases frequency decreases, because the speed of light will never change, so frequency and wavelength must be inversely proportional: planck"s law is the relationship between intensity and heat. The graph will look different (slightly) depending on whether frequency or wavelength is placed on the x- axis, but the y-axis is always temperature. This law uses the boltzmann constant as well as planck"s constant. This law only applies to blackbodies: stefan-boltzmann law is the relationship between power and temperature. It says that the energy output (all wavelengths) per unit area is proportional to the fourth power of temperature. This is what allowed us to create the theory of absorption and emission spectra atoms drop or rise energy levels which either emits or absorbs a photon.
