Planets travel in the same direction, and most rotate in the same direction. Additionally, all the planets orbit in a plane close to the ecliptic (plane of earth"s orbit) i. e. the solar system is a rotating disc with mass concentration (sun) at the center. Dust- and/or star-rich rotating disks are common in the universe which provides evidence for a model for the origin of the solar system. Disk of gas and dust spinning around the young sun - dust grains. Adhesion - dust grains clump into planetesimals. Gravitation - planetesimals collide and collect into planets. Model: origin of solar system as a rotating disk of dusk.
