The final exam contains 100 multiple choice questions. Most of the material was covered both in class and in the book. However, i did not get to cover chapter 16 in class at all. Approximately 15 of the 100 questions are cumulative in nature, but they focus on major developmental principles, theories, or constructs. That is, you do not need to review prior notes or readings in great detail to do well on the cumulative portion of the exam if you have a basic understanding of major course constructs. The bulk of the material is from chapters 12-17. Baltes-life-span orientation of human development; changes & development that occur across someone"s entire lifespan. Baumrind-known for her research on parenting styles: authoritarian-too strict & rigid, permissive-low-demands & spoiled, authoritative-independency & rules, neglectful-no role in child"s development. William james-theory of happiness, as happiness depends on a choice we are able to make rather than biological & social circumstances.
