Know the general sequence of events that happened after the big bang and when (e. g. , when did the first stars form?) Know what supernovae are and how they tell us that our sun is a secondor third generation star. Understand the nebula theory for the origin of our solar system and why the different types of planets formed where they did in our solar system.
