Document Summary

Essay: for the essay section you will be asked to select one out of several prompts and use it as a starting point for making an argument about several texts we read this quarter. Please note: the essay prompts will require you to address more than one of the texts we studied. We will go over a sample essay prompt in section before the final, but it is important to briefly plan before starting your essay response so you do not forget to address all the requirements of the prompt. For example, if the essay prompt requires you to write about 3 texts we read this quarter, it is important to address three texts. Not fulfilling the basic requirements will result in a lower mark for this section. Final exam (normal room, 3-6pm, monday): passage ids: choose five out of eight passages, and identify the title and author (20 points - spend no more than 15 minutes on this section).
