A boy"s mother is accused of being a communist by mrs. hoa who asks her to donate money to support the cause against communism. The mother, who runs a supermarket doesn"t make too much money and doesn"t want to give money away to a lost cause. After she"s accused of being a communist she goes to mrs. Hoa"s house to demand an apology but nds that hoa lost her husband and sons in the war against communism and now tailors uniforms for soldiers and ends up donating . Subject to racial discrimination and violent abuse due to increasing success and hard work ethic. Federal court dismantled paramilitary formed by kkk & prohibited any forms of discrimination against the vietnamese shrimpers. This family owns a donut shop open every day, split shifts among family members, daughters help out even though they"re still in school.
