Viscosity is the ability for lava to flow, the composition relies on silica. The higher the viscosity of a lava type the harder it is to flow, the more explosive it is. Shield volcanoes are broad and shallow slope, made of basalt. Cinder cone basalt lava small but steep slopes, flanks other volcanoes. Stratovolcanoes subduction zone, layered pyroclastic debris (avalanches of hot ash) steep andesite and rhyolite. A supervolcano is the immense pressure of a lot of magma rising to the crust but being unable to break through. Death and destruction the less viscous the lava is the faster it flows the more destruction it causes. Identify the basic characteristics of a wave including wave crest, trough, height, and wavelength (and steepness). Tsunamis form by sudden displacement in a large volume of water such as volcanic eruptions landslides or rockfalls.
