People acquire stable affective responses to particular symbols through a process of classical conditioning, most crucially relatively early in life. How could emotion be considered dangerous for politics: normative arguments people should make judgments about politics based on information, not emotions, emotion can be dangerous in politics. The factor structural evidence rejects the hypothesis of a dingle valence dimension and instead supports the current view that anxiety and enthusiasm are distinctive emotional responses. What are the psychological principles characterizing emotional reactions: automaticity we have an automatic, immediate affective reaction, primacy occurs before cognitive reaction; we have an emotional response, and then think about it.
