Midterm on friday, october 14 will cover material from the first day of class through wednesday, Oct. 14 (i. e. , lecture notes 1a-b, 2, and maybe half of note set 3 arches, not canyonlands). About 35 questions - multiple choice, a few true-false, and maybe a diagram or three. Bring a scantron 2000 , a pencil and a clean eraser. Have the scantron filled out with your id number and name before coming to class. The exam is in our classroom, 1001 giedt. For each question, there will be 4 wrong answers and 1 right answer. (no best answer, only a right answer. ) To study - focus on the lecture notes and supplement your understanding with the images i provide as well as from readings from the web. Build yourself a notebook of the printed notes integrated with the images: don"t get bogged down in details in the notes. Strive for understanding and how concepts might link with each other.
