● They go through all of the cards but Hunt is completely missing from the stack so they
think he used an alias or they removed it
● The editor of the newspaper says that there is not enough information to write a front-side
story
● Someone leaves a secret message on Woodward’s doorstep, telling him to place a red
flag on his porch if he wants to meet and find out more
● Woodward parks his car somewhere and then gets a taxi to make sure that he isn’t
followed to the meeting place
● He meets the man in an abandoned parking garage and the man won’t give him new
information but will confirm information they already have
● Bernstein gets a lead to look for Barker who was also arrested for the burglary and follow
the money trail
● He meets with the Florida sheriff who says that the money ($25,000) apparently came
from Mexico, and that Kenneth Dahlberg’s name is on it
● Woodward calls Dahlberg and finds out that Dahlberg raised that money for the
Committee to Reelect but instead went to Barker
