Document Summary

The objectives of the first part of experiment one were to become more familiar with the. Measurenet system, learn how to calibrate a temperature probe, collect measurements of temperature related to time, and download data that was collected to a computer and then print it. This was accomplished by balancing and weighing various glasswares on the balances, setting up and using the pipet, pipet pump, and buret to measure water volume, and plotting and observing all the data into the measurenet system. The concepts used that relate to lecture were the use of the scientific method, the rules for significant figures and the use of conversion factors. The lab techniques used were using a pipet to measure volumes, calibrating and using the probe to measure temperature, and balancing and weighing glassware with the analytical balances. It came from page 1-2, and then from page 1-4 through page 4-10.
