He does a broadcast claiming that the man is a communist, etc. Man asks to give his side on air rev. says no. Man complains to fcc and they decide he has the right to give his side. The reverend argues that he cannot be compelled to say something he doesn"t want to say. Court decides that thats too bad and he is operating under a license of the gov. and this is an exception of 1st amendment rights. Miami herald v. tornillo: herald publishes an article ripping the guy apart. Brings it to court sitting the red lion case and is turned down because rules change based on medium. Can only take action if it is proved obscene under the miller test. Fcc v. paci ca foundation: a station aired george carlins lthy words. they warned the audience before playing it.
