Be able to explain them with picture. For learning need to look at pre test and retention test. Need to know afferent, efferent, ascending, descending functional classicalyion of neurons. Most are interneurons- don"t need to know a(cid:271)out that. A set of muscle fibers will be innervated by one muscle neuron. Primary afferent and secondary afferent: can have two status with muscle, primary afferent and secondary are both sensitive to static stretch / muscle length. Primary afferent is affected by dynamic (has a faster response to it), but se(cid:272)onrdary doesn"t really (cid:272)hange for the (cid:272)hanging of reponse. Primary goes faster for lengthening muscle, and nothing for shortening muscle, (cid:271)ut se(cid:272)ondary doesn"t (cid:272)hange speeds and isn"t affected by the change it still fires at the same speed as it was when not moving. Started in primary somatosemsnory cortex and then tp cerebellum.
