In the 2004 teen comedy mean girls, the role of parents is massively skewed simply so that the plot can develop and become a movie that people would enjoy. This unrealistic portrayal of characters, demonstrated by regina"s vulgar and uncaring mother and cady"s indifferent parents, makes it difficult to provide a realistic moral to the story. Regina"s evil persona would most likely not exist had regina"s parents been less removed from her daily activities.
